Today when arriving home from daycare:
Dirk (hubby): "Grab your coat & backpack."
Ethan "You get them."
Dirk "Am I your slave?"
Ethan "No, you're my servant."
Earlier today at daycare:
Friend: "I'm going to have a party"
Ethan: "Yeah, a party with no adults & we'll party like rock stars." (all while playing air guitar)
Yesterday at daycare-doing his assigned job as door-holder for outside time, as the kids passed by, he said:
"Kid, you're free to go"
"Kid, you're free to go"
And as the teacher passed through:
"Adult, you're free to go"
I have such a short memory...I'll have to think back & come up with a few more, there is at least one of these types of conversations per day. The kid makes me laugh!
