Spring Green

I'm thinking this has been the best decorating idea ever! All I have to do is change out the contents of my jars & put different colored paper in my frame. Voila! I'm done! Okay...okay...maybe it's not all that easy. I bet I spent about $30 for & 3 hours finding "stuff" for this Spring shelf. The good thing is, I can reuse it all for next year though, right? Totally worth it.

A shelf full of Love

My latest craft project was super easy. I simply picked out some scrapbook paper that was "Valentiney" in color & added cute candies to my jars. I like the idea of being able to switch out the paper for other holidays or even to match a room in my house. Now I need a good idea for March/St. Patty's Day/Spring. It's time for a new crafting project!

p.s. I hope your Valentine's Day was full of all the things you Love in Life.

Check!

I just re-read my last post and am happy to report that I can check two things off my list!
(with the condition that I continue the trend....)

*I have been hitting the gym 4-6 days/week and am taking a Zumba class two nights, it is a kick-ass workout and is pretty fun at the same time!

*I hit the slopes with Shanda yesterday & didn't break anything in the process. We laughed a lot and had a great time, I can't wait to go again!

Ready to hit the bunny hill.

New Year -- New Me

Ok, so that's a pretty bold statement. Let's just say I HOPE that I can make some positive changes for 2011. What does the list include?

1. Get back to the gym
1a. Run a 5K at some point this year...maybe even a half marathon
2. Teach the kids to play the piano
3. Take a few ski days, it has been far too long since I have hit the slopes.
3a. Don't break any bones while hitting the slopes
4. Visit some lovely spas & clinics to develop a more developed, less well-rounded me ;-)
5. Appreciate the little things
6. Do things I have never done before!

That's a good starting point, I think. Okay, 2011, let's do this thing.

Christmas 2010

Doesn't seem right to not post about Christmas, so I'm at least going to post a few of my favorite pics of the season...

Not "too cool" to sit on Santa's lap...unlike sister.

Bieber Fever. THAT is excitement on her face!

Christmas Eve

Eve of Christmas :-)

Christmas Tree Festival

Someday I will be able to simply purchase one of these pre-decorated trees for my home, how nice would that be?! I'd better start saving my pennies. Ethan liked the "How to Train Your Dragon" tree, and the Dr. Seuss tree was pretty creative. This is a fun, free activity to go to each year at the Eccles center.

Skipping

It would seem I skipped right over Thanksgiving...well, as they say, better late than never. Well, it was certainly different for me this year, a little bit sad, but so grateful to have my two wonderful kids with me. I made sweet potatoes with pecans & brown sugar, Shanda brought an awesome cranberry sauce. The kids had a good time playing with all the cousins, and my Dad turned on the Christmas lights for the first time, I will need to include photo of his display sometime soon.
